Walking is frowned upon in California so getting hold of a car was essential. The first one seemed a little small for a family of four.....
..... but we managed to negotiate a good deal on this one which was cheaper as it is missing a roof:

There's so much to do here and Venice Beach remains reassuringly weird, so we are lucky to have a tranquil retreat to recharge our batteries:
That still leaves plenty of time to contemplate the Pacific ocean, enjoy the sunshine and sample the local food and drink. Happy days!
